So this is the first time I have done a race where you don't go to the place the race is named after!
Its the Fastnet but we're going south just past La Rochelle. The decision was made my the PC course (race committee to us) that there was too much risk if we went North to Fastnet that we could get wrapped up in the next big low developing over America now. So we go South and it look like it will be medium light condition all the way, at the very bottom there could be some variable light as the breeze shift. As normal it looks like we'll go all the way down against the breeze, then it will shift and we'll be against all the way back, never completely on the breeze though. That means there will be a lot of rum line speed sailing and not so many tactics. Point and go!
